About Malli Sannappanavar

Malli Sannappanavar hails from place called kadaramandalagi (Near Byadagi/Ranebennur) in the south Indian state of Karnataka. Having grown up and studied in heavily Kannada speaking Davangere city, He is attracted to kannada cultural activities, kannada wrtings and kannada dramas. Malli is Computer Engineering graduate from Kuvempu university. Malli works as Director for the leading financial company in lower Manhattan New York City. Malli lives in Hamden CT with his 7 year old son Manav and 5 year old daughter Mansi and his wife Madhu.

During his engineering college days his Mad Ads, Mr Chod's and his Chutuku hanigavanas were very popular items. He presented many cultural events in major engineering college festivals. He won MR Chod competition at state level and won many praises and prizes for his chutuku poems and kannada essay writings. He was elected as General Secretary in General Elections for the Student Council of UBDT College of Engineering 1995-1996. He was the key decision maker during Chaitra- 96, A mega cultural event in BDT Engineering college in 90's. He is regular contributor to thatskannada.com, his articles and hangiavans were published in Kannada popular dailys. He hosted NRI kannadigaru program for kannada TV channel during 1999- 2000, which covered kannadigas from Chicago, Boston, New York, Washington DC areas, Also covered 2001 new year's celebration in times square from Dias where Major TV Channels like NBC,CNN, BBC etc had their camera setup. He interviewed present Kannada actor Chetan when he was only 13 year's old for Kannada TV and also he interviewed Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutt. His article "E-engagement" was published on the front page of Vijaykarnakta and translated into English and published in Deccan Herald news paper. Often his hanigavanas are circulated in email chains.

He has given around Dance/Drama performances in various kannada events including Newyork , NewJercy, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Boston, Connecticut,South Carolina and Florida. He acted in around 35 kannada dramas. He written and directed "Amerikadalli Yamaraja" drama which was big hit at AKKA 2010 convention Edison NJ , which showcased lot of local talents to amerikannada people. He also written and directed skits "Dandapidagallu" and "Samsaradalli Shivaratri". His latest dramas are "Amerika Alliya" and "Amerikadalli Basavanna", "Amerikadalli Kannada Koota"," Shri Kamalananda Mahatmey". His drama "Amerikadalli Basavanna" at VSNA 2011 convention (Boston) was big hit and many people liked the way script was written with comdey and Message. He is very good dancer and performed group dances at various kannada kootas and Conventions. His drama Kamalananda Mahatmey Featured around 25 times including US and Singapore.

He has big passion for creative animation, His "Facebook Istenye" animation shared by more than 15,000 users on facebook on first week of posting in 2010 , His "Sri Yediyurappa Mahatmey" is shared by more 30000 users on facebook and viewd more than 230000 times till date and these videos are being circulated often, Some of his videos are being telecasted on popular TV Channels in karnataka. His videos includes "Internet Paramthma" and "Jailnalli paramathma" , "Yeddiyurappa too bittatte" , "Karnataka King Maker","Nithyananda Mahatmey" are some of the Viral videos he created. Recently he released DVD of all his cartoons "Kannadamalli Masala Mix". His Youtube Channel has more than Million views within first Year. in 2013 his video "Gangnum Style Yeddiyurappa" was one of biggest kannada animation went on viral streak on Facebook, 3 days after posting video was played at Yediyurappa's new Party Launch Function in Haveri , also his " Gangnum Manamohan " was well received. He acted and Directed and Produced "Facebook : JOURNEY OF LIFE " video album song which is often shared among Whatsapp users.

This website is a small effort to put together his Creative videos,kannada articles, Hanigavanas, Dramas, Skits, Dances, Standup comedy,Event pictures and other cultural activities at one place.
